Under the Normal Scheme If your passport is lost, you must get it renewed or reissued. For this, you must obtain an affidavit from the court and file a Police FIR regarding the lost passport. Apply online for passport renewal and provide all the details of the lost passport. If the Father is Living Abroad If the father is living abroad, he must provide a SON certificate and Annexure 'D' for the minor's passport application. If you are not planning to travel soon and feel that you do not need it right now, it can be renewed after its expiry date. However, if you anticipate travelling abroad in the coming months, you must get it renewed by submitting the requisite documents.
